About the Role
The Newcastle Vikings are entering a rebuild phase and are looking for the right leader to take charge as Head Coach. This is a huge opportunity to put your stamp on a proud club, build your own staff, and lead us into the next chapter of our journey.
We want someone who can grab the team by the horns, inspire players, and elevate us to new levels of professionalism and success. The Vikings have big potential, and with the right leadership, we aim to climb back to the top division and secure our long-term future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall coaching structure of the Vikings.
- Select, recruit and manage your own coaching staff.
- Develop a clear playing philosophy and training programme.
- Motivate and develop players across all levels.
- Work with management to support the rebuild and future growth of the club.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience coaching American Football (head coach or coordinator level preferred).
- BAFCA Level 1 at least required, BAFCA Level 2 will need to be completed before the beginning of the 2026 Season.
- Safeguarding qualification required – available to complete with us.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to build and inspire a coaching team.
- Passion for player development and club culture.
- Commitment to driving the Vikings forward on and off the field.
