Kevin o'reagan announced as adult contact Head Coach
We are delighted to share the news that Kevin O’Reagan has been appointed as Head Coach of the Newcastle Vikings with immediate effect.
Kevin is an extremely accomplished Coach, from coaching with Durham Saints and winning a National Championship at university level. Taking the helm at the Vikings in 2018 and winning back to back division titles to finally becoming Head Coach at Newcastle University. Leading them to Promotion as D1 National Championship Runners Up and then solidified their position in the Premier Division by reaching the National Quarter Finals.

Kevin had this to say on taking the role:
“It’s both humbling and a fantastic honour to be asked to return ‘home’ and once again take the reigns of this amazing club. I was there at the formation of the club in 2014 with a group of likeminded peers and coaches who continue to have a profound impact on me to this day.
I helped the club through the Associate process and navigated promotion from D2 as a player. I answered the call and helped to establish the team as a top contender in D1 in my first stint as Head Coach. I watched from a distance as the team continued to grow and thrive under Coach Stevenson’s leadership while I conducted business in UniBall.
I have always been a Viking, and will always be a Viking.
This team is special, from the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes, to the players who strap it up and go to war on the field.
